FAQ'S:

Q: How are Group Leaders selected?

A: Simple! First, click the “Apply to Lead” button below and complete the brief survey. The core criteria for the Mindset Reset Beta Study include the expectation to recruit 2-3 others to join you (at no cost to anyone). Exceptions may occur if we can match other participants to join groups. Desired Group Leaders also have a personal network that lends itself to word-of-mouth endorsement, provided they find the course proves itself.

Q: How long does Group Leader selection take to find out?

A: With few exceptions, we review and respond to applications within two business days. Those who do not qualify to be Group Leaders may still be selected to participate in the study (space permitting).

Q: How does the Z-isms Mindset Reset Beta Study work?

A: Selected Group Leaders will enlist 2-3 others to join them. Each will then complete a brief pre-assessment and then receive a welcome email with an access code provided, which will waive the $469.00 course fee. Group Leaders also schedule a brief orientation (via Zoom) with Matt Zinman for any Q&A and other details. This includes recording the group discussions (for internal use only), getting support, providing additional feedback and having group members complete the post-assessment. If schedules permit, Matt might also join a portion of various group session

Q: How long is this Group Beta Program supposed to take?

A: The Mindset Reset paces course-takers through “7 Days to a Clearer You.” However, with the additional element of having two gatherings, it’s more reasonable for Groups to have up to two weeks to complete the Beta program. This also applies to employers that provide their people with the Mindset Reset to experience this “social learning,” including for team-building purposes.

Q: How long should the course itself take to complete?

A: In short, self-paced to take 8-10 hours total. Beyond introductory content, the Mindset Reset has three sections involving Perception, Earned Confidence and Winning the Battle Within. Each section is self-paced and takes up to 2 hours. These culminate with a Mindset Personalization Plan, which takes less than an hour. Those who do it together also gather for two discussions designed to be one-hour each.

Q: 10 hours seems like A LOT! Why does it take so long?

A: All things being relative, what’s it worth to you to enrich your life from now on and deepen your relationships with those in your group? There’s a certain way to do it right that does not include short-cuts. The Mindset Reset is self-paced and accessible on-demand. Participants in the Group Beta format have up to two weeks to complete it. Respectfully, anyone who lacks the self-devotion to make themselves a priority for less than an hour a day cannot qualify for this program.

Q: What are the purposes of the Group Beta Study?

A: The course itself is beyond tried and true. This late-phase program focuses on the Social Learning experience. Upon completion, it’s to gauge the potential for Social Marketing (word-of-mouth reach). It’s also to assess the interest-level among course-takers for further enrichment with other Z-isms coursework. Those being the “WellBeing Reset,” which focuses on wellness and mindfulness and/or any of the 3 “Life Upgrade” modules that enrich Interactions, Purpose and Career pursuits. All told, the Mindset Reset represents about 20% of the total course content.

Q: What are Group Leaders expected to do?

A: Aside from enlisting 2-3 others to join them, the Group Leader coordinates and moderates the two discussions with easy-to-follow Discussion Guides. The rest comes down to supporting group members, if needed, and to encourage them to stay on task and keep pace.

Q: What’s the best way to moderate the group sessions?

A: Try not to overthink or over prepare. Let the Discussion Guides do the work. Your main role is to help everyone feel involved, which you can do by rotating who you call on to answer. The other key is to keep everyone on task and on time with respect for the one-hour everyone allotted. You might also consider using the screen share feature to help people follow along and, literally, stay on the same page.

Q: What if someone doesn’t want to answer certain questions?

A: It’s essential to respect everyone’s comfort zone. However, you’ll see throughout the Discussion Guides are multiple options that enable participants to share their insights and feedback without those disclosures being overly personal.

Q: What tools will help make this easiest to manage?

A: There are lots of different options online, most of which are free.  Here are some suggestions for different purposes:

– GROUP CHATS: Group text, WhatsApp or LinkedIn

– MEETING COORDINATION: rallly.co or zencal.io

– CALENDAR INVITE: (Google Mail)

– VIDEO GATHERINGS: Zoom or GoogleMeet
